PROJECT III: REMEDIATION

An anthropology, biology, and philosophy major are sitting in a bar… Just kidding. They are sitting in a personal podcasting room at U of M, with me asking them questions concerning the philosophy of science. Though this definitely sounds like the beginning of a bad joke, it was in fact the beginning of my Project III, which called for a remediation of the prior Project II. The goal was to reach the same audience with the same purpose through the use of a different medium. I decided to complement my academic article on science and objectivity with perspective from fellow peers majoring primarily in the natural sciences. The idea was to ask similar questions to those that I raised in my paper so as to see whether the science-minded individuals had a differing views than I did on the issues at hand. Interestingly enough, we agreed on most everything. We considered the work of Philip Kitcher that I critiqued for Project II, namely anticipated implications of his democratic Well-Ordered Science ideal. Take a listen below!
