ABOUT ME

As a philosophy major at the University of Michigan, I spend much of my time grappling with the ever-present questions of metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. There is little I love more than questioning absolutly anything and everything, and so I thought supplementing my philosophical pursits with a minor in writing might prove beneficial in more ways than one. My hope is that I will be able to not only communicate my questionings convincingly, efficiently, and effectively but, further, that I will be able to do so in a wholy human, personal manner.

Nothing brings me more happiness than sitting at a coffee shop with a friend sharing our favorite quotes, though I also simply love reading, writing, and, of course, long walks on the beach. (Yes, that was meant to make you smile, but—even more comically—I am actually being serious). Born and raised in California, I am new to this whole "weather" thing we have here in Michigan. Growing up, I spent hours sprawled out in the sun, soaking up all that life-giving vitamin D. And, by the way, my friends call me "D". Surely it started as a way to shorten Danielle, but I like to think it’s because I provide the sunshine on all the cloudy Michigan days.
