My Premature, Yet Possible, Law School Personal Statement
In English 229, a course on professional writing, one of our assignments was to write a personal statement for some job, graduate school, or the like that we may hope to one day pursue. Though I am not sure if I am pre-law or not, I figured this would be good practice incase I decide to take that route. The final product, if nothing else, was personal. Very personal. And I am surprisingly proud of this piece.

Analyzing Arthur Miller
For my final paper in English 298, an introductory course on literature, I chose to review two of Arthur Miller's most famous plays: Death of a Salesman and All My Sons. This project was far more emotionally rewarding than I had anticipated, allowing me to consider the role of consciousness through a philosophical lense as well as an artistic one. I believe that my passions combined to portray the intentions of Miller, as well as his growth as a playwright, quite powerfully in this paper, and it is ultimately a portrait of my writing circa Fall 2015.

Applying to the Writing Minor
In order to see my growth as a writer throughout the minor coursework, I thought I might make my application materials from the minor accessible. Here you will find my essay sample and letter to the committee of scholars who would soon accept me into this wondrous program.
